Remember Padmapriya, who starred in films such as Mirugam, Pokkisham, Pattiyal, Saththam Podathe and Thanga Meenkal? The actress, who got married in 2014, is making a comeback in Tamil films with the film Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum directed by Vasanth, a protégé of the late K. Balachander.
For some reasons, though, the shoot of the film hasn’t progressed as fast as it should have. Queries with the film’s crew didn’t yield any concrete response about the reasons for the break in the film’s shoot.
In the meantime, the still younger-looking 36-year old actress, who is known to dazzle in performance-oriented roles, has also signed up to play the lead role in an upcoming Bollywood film tiled as The Orphan in which she has been paired up opposite Vivan Shah, son of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah.
Kamalinee Mukherjee and Malavika Menon would be the other heroines in the film but it is informed that it would be Padmapriya who would be playing the major role among the three heroines.
Let’s wish the actress a happy comeback as her earlier attempt at acquiring stardom in Hindi films through the 2010 film Striker didn’t succeed!
