Yesudas’ wife denies he converted to Hinduism Jul 8, 2016

Prabha, wife of legendary playback singer K.J. Yesudas, has denied media reports which stated that her celebrated husband had converted to Hinduism recently.
Senior BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy tweeted on his Twitter account a couple of days back stating that the 76-year old Yesudas, who has recorded more than 50,000 songs in various Indian and foreign languages during the past five decades, has converted to Hinduism.
Yesudas’ recent visit to Kollur Mookambika Amman Temple sparked rumours that he had conveted to Hinduism. He even conducted an elaborated pooja a the temple. Swamy’s tweet ‘welcomed’ Yesudas back into to his ‘home religion’ of Hinduism stating that he would be very happy if what he had heard (about the conversion) turned out to be true.
Prabha, spouse of the legendary singer, has denied the reports of conversion. “My husband has always felt that Almighty is a ‘supreme power’ beyond the realm of religions. His concept in this regard hasn’t changed a bit. He didn’t make any effort to convert himself as a Hindu and we don’t know where from such rumours emanate as there is no truth in these rumours,” she asserted.
