Twin Oscar-winner A.R. Rahman has confirmed that he would indeed be joining hands with actor-producer-director Sundar C to score the music of the latter’s next directorial venture which would be produced at a whopping cost.
The film, which would be the 100th film as producer in respect of Sree Thenandal Films, is to be produced at a huge cost of Rs.350 crores and would be directed by Sundar C, who played the hero in his latest release Muthina Kathirikai. It was reported some time back that in these columns Suriya and Tollywood’s Mahesh Babu might play the heroes in this period-type venture.
“I would be scoring the music of Sundar C’s next film as director which would also be the 100th film to be produced by Sree Thenandal films,” Rahman has confirmed and has wished the crew success.
It may be noted that though Sundar C has been in the industry for more than 20 years now and has directed superstar Rajinikanth (Arunachalam) and Kamal Haasan (Anbe Sivam) in his career, none of his films had music by A.R. Rahman.
