Vijay Sethupathi to play Dhanush’s villain in Vada Chennai?

It is rumoured strongly in Kollywood circles that Vijay Sethupathi has agreed to play Dhanush’s villain in Vetrimaaran’s upcoming Vada Chennai triology. It is also said that the film’s shoot has already commenced.
It may be recalled that Vijay Sethupathi played the hero in last year’s super-duper hit film Naanum Rowdydhaan opposite Nayantara. Dhanush produced the film under his banner ‘Wunderbar Films’. Vijay Sethupathi, who is said to be very keen to repay Dhanush for giving him the lead role in his own production, is said to have voluntarily agreed to play the antagonist in Vada Chennai.
The shoot of the first part in the triology Vada Chennai commenced last month with a formal muhurat. Dhanush is paired up opposite Amala Paul (who has replaced Samantha) while Andrea Jeremiah plays a pivotal role in the film. Karunas plays the comedian in the film which has Daniel Balaji, Kishore and Samuthirakani essaying prominent roles.
Lyka Productions is producing the film which has Vijay Sethupathi essaying his second ‘negative’ role after Sundarapandian a few years back.
