Director Suseenthiran’s upcoming directorial venture has been titled as Maaveeran Kittu and stars Vishnu Vishal, whom he introduced as hero a few years back with the superhit film Vennila Kabadikuzhu.
Vishnu starred in Suseenthiran’s 2014 hit film Jeeva and is now working under him for the third time in Maaveeran Kittu. Of late, Vishnu has succeeded to a great extent in establishing himself as a saleable hero in Kollywood and is now fresh from the success of his latest Ezhil-directed film Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran in which he was paired up opposite pretty-looking Nikki Galrani.
Nallusamy Pictures and Asian Cine Combines would be jointly producing the film which has Vishnu pairing up opposite Sri Divya for the second time after Jeeva. Soori plays a prominent role in the film whose shoot commenced in Palani on 15th July (last Friday) and would take place during a non-stop 50-day long shooting schedule.
Replying to a query on whether the film’s script was based on Tamil Eelam issue, Suseenthiran said that the film wasn’t about the Tamils’ struggle in Sri Lanka demanding a separate Tamil Eelam. “It’s about a warrior who launched a huge struggle in 1985 for preserving Tamils’ rights in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
Lyricist Yugabarathi turns dialogue-writer for the film besides penning the lyrics. D. Imman would be the film’s music director.
