Much to the envy of some frontline actresses, Keerthy Suresh, who is a relative newcomer and who has just had two of her films releasing in theatres, has bagged a role opposite national award-winning actor Dhanush and another film opposite Vijay.
Keerthy’s film with Dhanush, named Thodari, is being directed by Prabhu Solomon whose films are not the usual run-of-the-mill stuff but are known for the strength of their scripts. Satyajyothi Films has produced the film which has music by Solomon’s favourite music director D. Imman. The film is now expected to hit the screens in September after the Kabali fever would have subsided to some extent.
Solomon’s scripts are always known to be heroine-oriented but he could ill-afford not to keep a strong character for Dhanush, known for his performance-oriented roles in many films including Aadukalam. In Thodari, Keerthy plays a ‘touch-up’ girl, who applies make-up for a heroine.
As she appears as a touch-up girl in the film, Solomon was keen to ensure that Keerthy appears very naturally in the film and asked her not to apply make-up. We would have to wait to see how Keerthy looks in the film sans her usual make-up!
