Walt Disney Animation has decided to come up with a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph. The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on March 9, 2018.
The announcement was made by Wreck-It Ralph director Rich Moore and screenwriter Phil Johnston via Facebook on Thursday. They were joined by Wreck-It Ralph star John C. Reilly.
It is to be noted that in Wreck-It Ralph (2012), Reilly played Ralph, the misunderstood villain in an eight-bit video game who decides to change his persona and become the good guy. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, who played Vanellope von Schweetz, will both return for the follow-up.
Moore and Johnston, who recently worked together on Walt Disney’s last animation release,Zootopia, will co-write and co-direct the Wreck-It Ralph sequel.
That said, Walt Disney Animation will next release Moana, the South Pacific-set adventure story about a young Polynesian girl and the ancient demi-god Maui. The movie will hit the screens on November 23.
