Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore has rejected the request of Kabali distributors to screen the movie in five-star hotels in the city for a price of Rs. 1000 to 1500 tomorrow.
Bangalore distributors have been told by the police that it’s not allowed as per Cinematography Act and they will not be able to grant security for the same.
Also, theater owners have strongly opposed the decision of star hotel screenings by distributors in Bangalore since the former feel that it will spoil the business of theater owners.
Kabali is all set for worldwide release tomorrow with special premieres in various foreign locations tonight.
