Regina denies getting glamourous to land up film offers

Not many aware that actress Regina Cassandra’s fluent Tamil-speaking abilities are belied by her ultra-modern looks. The 27-year old actress has stoutly denied that she has become ‘ultra-glamourous’ in real and reel life to land up film offers in her kitty.
After essaying a minor role in the Prasanna-Laila starrer Kanda Naal Mudual in 2005, Regina starred in a few more films in sundry rolese before getting to play one of the two heroines along with Bindu Madhavi in national award-winning director Pandiraj’s 2013 hit film Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga. She also starred in Nirnayam and in last year’s Rajathanthiram and is presently having a handful of films in Tamil.
The actress, who possesses an enviable hour-glass figure, has Selvaraghavan’s upcoming thriller Nenjam Marappadhillai (opposite S.J. Suryah), Maanagaram opposite newcomer Sundeep Kishan, Rajathanthiram 2 and Gemini Ganesanum Suruli Raajanum (opposite Atharva) on her hands and hopes to soon make a name for herself in Kollywood as an actress of substance.
“I have been working in many Tamil and Telugu films but am upset by rumours stating that I’m ready to work even free-of-cost as I’m short off film offers. Also, I’m now making any conscious effort to get into glamour mode in my on and off-screen appearances; I might have donned glam-filled costumes at a few award functions but it is part of my effort to look different every time and nothing else,” asserts Regina.
