Veteran director Mani Ratnam has wrapped up the first schedule of his romance drama Kaatru Veliyidai, which has been progressing swiftly in scenic locales in Ooty.
Aditi Rao Hydari, RJ Balaji, dancer-actress Rukmini Vijayakumar, who recently joined the team as part of the supporting cast were part of this schedule and important scenes were canned with them.
The movie also stars Shraddha Srinath of U-Turn fame, who shot for her portions in this schedule. The team is expected to head to Kashmir next, where Karthi is likely to join the team.
Reportedly set in a war backdrop. Karthi essays the role of a pilot in the film. The movie has music by AR Rahman and lyrics by Vairamuthu.
