Twin-Oscar award-winner A.R. Rahman has said that he is getting aged and his music would have to undergo corresponding changes in the days to come.
Rahman has scored the music of the upcoming Bollywood film starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead and titled as Mohenja Daro in which he has song one out of the eight songs. An event was held recently in Mumbai to introduce the film to the press and to the people. Rahman and film’s director Ashutosh Gowariker took part in a brief interactive session on-stage when the former answered the latter’s queries.
“When you first narrated the script to me, I was apprehensive the film might look like a documentary but was stunned by the visuals and photos and the script that was narrated to me. I then put on my thinking cap and started composing the music,” Rahman said. “I was young earlier but now that I’m getting aged, my speed may not be as it was but still, I’d like to give my best in whatever I attempt,” he pointed out.
“Of late, I want to dig deep into the nuances of music. We are all basically humans full of emotions such as smile, irritation, anger, love, vengeance, disappointment, dreams, etc. It’s a global phenomenon. I only want to bring these in my music so as to suit Indian context and this could be the reason why my music reaches out to all,” Rahman concluded.
