Air Asia has announced that its flights which bear superstar Rajinikanth’s images from his upcoming film Kabali would continue to be in operation even after the film hits the screens across the world on 15th July.
In an unprecedented measure and for the first time in the history of Indian films, a leading Airlines (Air Asia) has joined hands with producer ‘Kalaipuli’ Thanu in publicizing Rajini’s Kabali by arranging for special package tickets to Chennai and Bangalore for Rajini’s ever-eager fans who could get these tickets, be picked up from their residences to Airports in Chennai and Bangalore, watch the film, have lunch, breakfast, etc. and return to their places happily.
Cheap air-fare flights are being operated as ‘Kabali’ special offer by Air Asia from Chennai to countries such as Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. Air Asia flights bearing Rajini’s images from the film are being operated to various countries, catching movie-goers in the country and abroad by surprise as it’s a never-before effort by an Airline in publicizing a film.
The flights are now being operated to Bangalore, Delhi, Goa, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati, Imphal, Vizag and Cochin from Monday and would soon go abroad too. A spokesperson of Air Asia said that it took an entire month for the company to modify its fleet as a ‘Rajini special’ Kabali flights. “We were extra careful as it was the first-time ever that such an attempt was being made. We are happy that the passenger aircrafts have been getting extra attention thanks to the images.
“We shall continue to operate these flights even after the release of Kabali in theatres as it’s a tribute we pay to the superstar and to his millions of fans. The crew watched the flight and expressed its pleasure. We hope Rajini Sir would have watched these flights as well. We want to gauge Rajini’s fans’ reaction when they travel by these flights. Flights on the date of release of Kabali would provide to its passengers special ‘Kabali’ cups and ‘Kabali’ tickets and Rajini’s faovurite menu as lunch,” he said.
