Comedian Karunas, who recently hinted that he would be giving up his post of vice-president of Nadigar Sangam to do justice to his real-life role of Tiruvadanai MLA, is to star with national award-winning actor Dhanush after six years.
Dhanush and Karunas starred together in the past in a few films including Thiruda Thirudi and Polladhavan but haven’t starred in a film together since the 2010 hit film Uthamaputhiran. Karunas, now an MLA from Tiruvadanai, re-joins Dhanush after six years to play the comedian in Vetrimaaran’s triology Vada Chennai which would be made in three parts.
Amala Paul and Andrea Jeremiah play prominent roles in the first part of Vada Chennai whose shoot commenced some time back and has been proceeding in a brisk manner. Santhosh Narayanan scores the music of the film which is produced by Lyka Productions at a huge cost.
